Remote Viewing: Cannot connect to DVR / NVR from a remote location

If you are able to connect to your device ID at home, but not when you are at a remote location, check the firewall settings on your router. Sometimes router firewalls will block communication with devices outside of the local network. To resolve this issue, try port forwarding your router connection and then testing your device ID.
