Error Message: IP Conflict

An IP Conflict error message occurs when two recorders, connected to the same network, have the same IP address.

To avoid creating an IP Conflict error message:

  • If you are assigning a static IP address to a recorder, assign it outside of the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) pool range. Contact your router provider for assistance.
  • Use a DHCP reservation on the router, instead of setting a static IP address on your recorder. Click here to learn more about the differences between assigning a static IP and a DHCP reservation.
