Remote Viewing: NVR switch causing other devices to drop off the network
If an NVR switch causes your cameras to lose connection intermittently, it is due to an IP conflict and your NVR switch is set to the same subdomain as your router.
Prerequisite:
- The following steps are explained using a Windows 10 operating system.
To correct an IP conflict:

On your PC, click the Start icon (
), and then click Command Prompt. -
In the Command Prompt window, enter ipconfig.

Check the Default Gateway value. If the gateway is the same IP address as the switch setting on your NVR (default: 10.1.1.1.), you have an IP conflict. To resolve this, change the IP address and Default Gateway on your NVR under switch settings.
