LHV / LNR Series: Setting up anti-dither, latch, and post record

On an LHV / LNR Series DVR / NVR, use Anti-dither, Latch, and Post Record to specify how the system behaves when motion is detected.

  • Anti-dither: After an initial motion event, the system will continue to record video if a second motion event occurs within the set Anti-dither period. Some newer systems have Anti-dither fixed at 30 seconds, and therefore, do not allow a custom value to be set.
  • Latch: Determines how long an alarm output device (not included – sold separately) will remain active after motion is detected.
  • Post Record: Determines how long the system records video for after motion is detected.

To configure anti-dither, latch, and post record settings:

  1. Right-click on the Live View to access the Quick Menu.

  2. Click Main Menu and then click the Setting icon (Setting icon).

  3. Click Alarm > Motion or Event > Motion and then the Motion Detect tab, depending on your recorder.

  4. Select the channel you would like to configure from the Channel drop-down.

  5. Ensure the Enable checkbox is selected.

  6. Enter the Anti-dither, Latch, and Post Record time in seconds.

Configure Anti-dither, Latch, and Post Rec settings

NOTE: On some firmware versions, Post Record may be written as Post REC.

  7. Click Apply to save the settings, and then click OK to exit.
