Lorex Secure / FLIR Secure App: Comparison with Lorex Cirrus and Lorex Cloud

Users with the Lorex Secure or FLIR Secure app may be directed to download the Lorex Cloud or Lorex Cirrus app to view your system remotely. Please refer to the comparisons below of the most common screens to help you get started with your new app:

Live Viewing:

Lorex Secure / FLIR Secure

  1. Return to previous screen
  2. Privacy mode: Tap to enable/disable. Privacy mode will disable live video, recording, and notifications.
  3. Quick playback: Tap to play back the last 30 seconds of recorded video.
  4. Enhance: Tap to switch between HD and standard video quality.
  5. Snapshot: Tap to save a still image of the live view to your mobile device.
  6. Settings menu
  7. History: Tap to search for and play back recorded videos (full overview below).

Lorex Cirrus

  1. Main menu
  2. Viewing modes
  3. Snapshot: Tap to save a still image of the live view to your mobile device.
  4. Manual recording: Tap to record the current live view. Tap again to save the clip to your mobile device.
  5. HD/SD: Tap to switch between HD and standard video quality.
  6. Mute / unmute
  7. Two-way audio: Two-way audio cameras only. Tap, then speak into your mobile device’s microphone. Tap again to listen in.
  8. Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) controls: PTZ cameras only. Tap to move and configure PTZ cameras.

Lorex Cloud

  3. Snapshot: Tap to save a still image of the live view to your mobile device.
  4. Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) controls: PTZ cameras only. Tap to move and configure PTZ cameras.
  5. Mute / unmute
  6. Two-way audio: Two-way audio cameras only. Tap, then speak into your mobile device’s microphone. Tap again to listen in.
  7. Quick playback: Tap to play back the last 30 seconds of recorded video.
  8. Video quality: Tap to switch between HD and standard video quality.
  9. Alarms: Tap to activate an alarm output device (not included).
  10. Fisheye: Fisheye cameras only. Tap to open fisheye camera controls.
  11. Color settings: Tap to access color controls for the currently selected camera.
  12. Manual recording: Tap to record the current live view. Tap again to save the clip to your mobile device.
  13. Connect / disconnect all: Connect to/disconnect from all previously added cameras.
  14. Favorites: Tap to quickly bring up a group of cameras in Live View.
  15. Device list: Tap to open a list of devices. You can use the Device List to open multiple systems or cameras at once.

Playback:

Lorex Secure / FLIR Secure

  1. Return to live view
  2. Time filters
  3. Timeline: Swipe back and forth on the timeline to see available recordings. Motion events are shown in yellow, and continuous recordings are shown in blue.
  4. Play multiple recordings: Tap to make a selection on the timeline and play all recordings within your selection.
  5. Return to previous screen
  6. Play / pause
  7. Playback bar: Tap or tap-and-drag to move to a different time in the current video.

  1. Main menu
  2. Timeline: Swipe back and forth on the timeline to see available recordings.
  3. Slow playback
  4. Play / pause
  5. Fast playback
  6. Next frame
  7. Stop playback
  8. Snapshot: Tap to save a still image of the video to your mobile device.
  9. Video clip: Tap to begin recording a clip of the video. Tap again to save the clip to your mobile device.
