LNC116 IP Camera: Using an NAS device

The LNC116 IP camera has the option to use a network-attached storage (NAS) device.

The camera can record directly to an NAS device. This enables the camera to record to an NAS when your computer is not on.

Before you can record to a NAS device, check the following:

  1. Your NAS device must be connected to the same network as the camera, and it must be turned on.
  2. You have the admin username and password for your NAS device. Check your NAS device instruction manual for details.
  3. You have the local IP address of your NAS device. Check your NAS device instruction manual for details.
  4. Your NAS must have an available folder in the main (root) folder for recordings to be stored. This folder must be available before you begin NAS recording and it must allow read / write access (e.g., a public recording folder).
