MAC Address

The media access control (MAC) address is a product's 12-digit hardware address that identifies the product on a local area network (LAN) and is unique to each product. MAC addresses follow a specific format: mm-mm-mm-ss-ss-ss. The mm's are the manufacturer’s ID number and the ss's identify the product’s ID number (e.g., an example of a MAC address is 78-AC-C0-B2-AA-44).
