External IP Address

An external IP address is an IP address assigned to you by your Internet service provider (ISP). It is also known as a public IP address, and is used to locate a device or network over the Internet (e.g., a computer might have the internal IP address 192.168.0.2, but it connects to the Internet using the external IP address 216.13.154.34).
