Lens

A piece of glass or other transparent substance with curved sides for concentrating light rays to a camera sensor. Lenses refract or bend light to control how the resulting image appears (e.g., light can be bent to ensure that the resulting image appears flat rather than curved). CCTV cameras have either fixed lenses which are permanently set, or varifocal lenses which can be adjusted by the user.
