PTZ Cameras: Motion detection alerts triggered by PTZ controls / presets

Depending on your system, you can use your DVR / NVR menu to set your Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) Cameras to move in a specific pattern. This is called setting up a tour of presets. If your PTZ camera is currently set up to run tours, or you are using manual control to move your PTZ, you may be inadvertently triggering motion detection alerts.

To reduce unwanted motion detection alerts, it is recommended that you turn off motion detection when running tours or manually controlling your PTZ camera.
