Recorded Video: Slow playback
When viewing playback from a computer, smartphone, or tablet, connection issues and image quality settings can impact video streaming quality.
If you are experiencing slow playback issues, please check the following:
- If you use the Device ID instead of IP / DDNS for your connection settings, you are directing the DVR / NVR to use Lorex by FLIR servers. This limits your data rate to that of your Internet connection. Switch your connection settings to IP / DDNS.
- Reduce the substream image quality settings to enable faster video streaming. An upload speed of 1Mbps or higher is required to enable video streaming over the Internet. Click here for instructions on how to modify image quality settings.
Recommended substream settings are:- Resolution: CIF
- Frame Rate (FPS): 10
- Bitrate: 96
