FLIR FX Camera: Not turning on

If the FLIR FX camera is not powering on when the Power button () is pressed, or power is connected / restored to the camera, it may have entered Power Lock.

To exit power lock:

1. Press and hold the Power button for 7 seconds.
2. Release and wait 5 seconds.
3. Press and hold the Power button for 1 second.

If the camera still does not power on, a critically low battery charge, or a microSD card error may be causing the issue.

To troubleshoot low battery or microSD card errors creating power lock:

1. Remove camera from the base if attached.
2. If a microSD card is inserted, remove the microSD card from the camera. Push in on the card gently until you hear a soft click. Release and the card will eject. Remove the card from the camera.
3. Connect a micro USB cable and charger to the side of camera. The port is located below the microSD card slot.
4. Connect your camera to a power source using the included power adapter and charge for a minimum of 20 minutes.
5. After charging, press the power button for 1 second.

If the camera powers on successfully, reinstall the microSD card.

RECOMMENDED: You may need to format the microSD card after installation.

If the camera does not power on successfully, repeat steps to exit power lock. If this still does not resolve the issue, contact us for assistance.
