Aspect Ratio
The proportional relationship between the width and the height of the display or image. It is commonly expressed as two numbers separated by a colon, e.g., a square image would have an aspect ratio of 1:1, whereas 1080p video has a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9 because it has 1920 horizontal pixels and 1080 vertical pixels - or 16 horizontal pixels for every 9 vertical pixels.
