LNR200 / LNR300 Series: Not receiving email notifications when using Lorex email
The Lorex email server can be used to send and receive alerts such as motion detection or other events recorded on your LNR200 / LNR300 Series NVR. To send out motion detection alerts, you must enable the Send Email option on each camera you would like to receive alerts from. Click here for instructions on how to enable the Send Email option.
If you have followed these steps and are not receiving emails, here are some additional troubleshooting steps:
- Check the receiving email junk or spam folders.
- Check your DNS Settings. Change the DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 4.2.2.2 in the preferred DNS field. Click here for more information on accessing DNS settings.
- Modifications to email notifications can require 5-10 minutes to take effect. After making changes, wait 5-10 minutes and send a test email.
