Is the camera equipped with the latest Color Night Vision technology?

Yes.

The camera is equipped with the latest Color Night Vision (CNV) technology.

NOTE: The camera needs ambient lighting to record in full color at night. The camera has a maximum night vision range of 150 feet (46 meters) in low light situations and 98 feet (30 meters) in total darkness.


Is the camera equipped with Smart Motion Detection?

Yes.

When the Smart Motion Detection feature is enabled on the recorder, the camera can detect persons and vehicles as they enter the camera's field of view. When connected to the Lorex App, you can receive motion notifications whenever the camera detects a person or a vehicle.


What recorder is the camera compatible with?

The camera is compatible with the following recorders:

NOTE:

  • When the camera is connected to the N881 or N882 series recorder with Smart Motion Detection enabled, the frame rate is 4K at 20fps by default. To obtain 30fps, Smart Motion Detection must be disabled in the camera settings.
  • When the camera is connected to the N842 or N862 series recorder with Smart Motion Detection enabled, the frame rate is reduced from 4K at 30fps to 4K at 15fps. The N842 and N862 series NVRs cannot support video recording frame rates greater than 15fps.

Does the camera support listen-in audio?

Both dome and bullet cameras support listen-in audio only (not two-way talk).


Do I need to use a MicroSD card for the camera to save the recording?

No.

The camera does not have a MicroSD slot. The camera must be connected to a compatible recorder to store the video. All recordings are then stored in the recorder.


What are the power requirements for the cameras?

The bullet cameras (LNB9242B and LNB9252B) require 8W, while the dome cameras (LNE9242B and LNE9252B) require 6.5W.
