AEX16 Series - 16-Port PoE Switch: Troubleshooting Guide

This article addresses common troubleshooting issues regarding your AEX16 16-Port PoE Switch.

I need to connect power to my PoE Switch

To power on the switch, connect the AC power cord to the back of the switch and a grounded electrical outlet; the LED indicators will flash for one second during system start-up, and then the power LED will turn green.

I do not understand the LED Indicators

My Ethernet cable does not work with my PoE Switch

Ensure that your Ethernet cable is a solid copper Ethernet cable. Your PoE switch will work with a standard Cat5e or Cat6 cable, but it is recommended to use a solid copper Ethernet cable for best performance.
