This article will give you a step-by-step guide to installing your 4K Battery Video Doorbell.

What's Included:

• 4K Battery Doorbell

App Setup:

1. Download the Lorex App.
2. Short press the reset button, and then wait for the audio prompts.
3. Tap

Note:

• If the status indicator does not start flashing blue, use the included USB power cable to power on your device, and then short press the reset button.
• Do not remove the USB power cable while connecting to the app.

Battery Setup:

Fully charge your Battery Doorbell before mounting. This could take up to 4-6 hours. 5V 2A power adapter is recommended (not included). Once fully charged, the status indicator will turn solid blue.

Optional Wired Setup:

Warning: Always be careful when handling electrical wiring. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself, contact a licensed electrician.

1. Turn off the breaker and test that power has been disconnected.

2. Connect to 8-24 VAC wiring. If you do not have this voltage, you will require an 8-24 VAC transformer.
3. Remove your existing doorbell and disconnect the wiring.

Tip: Bend the power cables so they do not fall through the wall.

Optional Wedge Installation:

Align and place either one of the Horizontal or Vertical Wedges behind the Mounting Bracket and in the direction you want the doorbell to face. To change the direction of the angle, flip the Horizontal or Vertical Wedge upside down.

Mounting:

1. Place the Mounting Bracket on the desired location with the arrow pointing .
2. Mark the holes for screws.

3. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver and the provided screws, secure the Mounting Bracket to the surface.

Optional: On drywall, use the provided 1/4” (6 mm) drill bit to drill holes where marked, then use the provided anchors and screws.

4. For wired setup: Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the power terminal screws, and then thread them through the metal loops of the connecting wires. Then, re-tighten the screws.

5. For wired setup: Align the ends of your existing wiring with the connecting wires, and then twist the wire caps over the exposed wiring.

Optional: If your existing doorbell wiring is too short, use the provided Extension Wire instead.

6. Push the wiring back into the wall with enough space to fit the wiring and wire caps.
7. Press the doorbell into the Mounting Bracket until you hear a 'click'.

8. For wired setup: Restore power at the breaker.

Note:

• The doorbell's optimal operating temperatures are -4 °F to 122 °F / -20 °C to 50 °C.
• To remove your doorbell from the bracket, hold onto the doorbell, and then insert the Release Pin into the hole at the bottom of the Mounting Bracket until the release tab is reached.
