Lorex Connect App - Live View

Getting Started:

  1. Download the Lorex app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
  2. Pair your device with the app by following the detailed instructions in the guide Connect to the Lorex Connect App.
  3. Tap on the thumbnail of your desired device. You have navigated to the Live View section.

Changing Cameras in the Live View:

To switch devices to the Live View:

  1. Tap the camera icon.
  2. Select which cameras you would like to view, and tap "Okay" to confirm.

Gear Button:

Tap the Gear icon to share, create a group, or to see your device's settings. Refer to your device's Frequently Asked Questions for more information on your camera's settings.


Viewing Multiple Cameras:

When the Lorex Connect app is connected to a recorder, you can view multiple cameras simultaneously in Live View. To view all cameras, tap the grid buttons to switch the layout to a 4-view or 9-view grid.

Live View Functions:

Function Buttons

Note: Not all functions may be present, depending on your device.

  • Snapshot: Tap the "Snapshot" button, then tap "download" or "share" under the snapshot thumbnail.
  • Recording: Tap the "Recording" button to start and stop recording, then tap "download" or "share" under the recording thumbnail.
  • Talk: Tap the "Talk" button, then speak into your phone's microphone to be heard over your camera's speaker.
  • PTZ: Tap the PTZ button and then use the arrows to position your camera. Tap "Set Preset Position" to save the camera position for the future, and tap "Go to Preset Position" to return to it.

Arrow Buttons

Note: PTZ functions are only available for PTZ cameras.

  • Siren: Tap the "Siren" button and confirm by pressing "Okay".
  • Light: Tap the "light" button to enable the light and again to disable.
  • Panorama: Tap the "Panorama" button, then tap "Generate 360 Panorama" to begin creating a panoramic view.
  • Lullaby: Tap the "Lullaby" button, then the "Play" button to begin plaaing a lullaby.
  • Mirror: Tap the "Mirror" button, then tap "Horizontal" to flip horizontally, and "Vertical" to flip vertically.

More Functions

  • Audio: Tap the sound button to hear camera's audio.
  • HD: Tap the "HD" button to toggle resolution.
  • Eye Button: Tap the eye button with a line through it to enable Privacy Mode, and again to disable it. Privacy mode disables the camera from filming or showing footage.
  • Baby Mode: Tap the Baby button to disable the camera's siren and IR sensor, and again to enable those features.
