Lorex Ping 2 App: Editing motion detection settings

The Lorex Ping 2 app allows you edit motion detection settings on an LNC Series camera, including enabling motion detection alerts and adjusting sensitivity.

Prerequisites:

• Install the Lorex Ping 2 app available for Android on the Google Play Store or iOS (Apple) on the App Store.
• Ensure that you have added your LNC camera to the Lorex Ping 2 app. Click here for more information.

To edit motion detection settings:

1. Launch the Lorex Ping 2 app on your smartphone or tablet.

2. On the Camera List screen, tap a camera to configure.

3. Tap the Camera Settings icon ().

4. Tap Alarm notification.

5. Tap the Alarm icon () next to Motion to enable motion detection alerts. The Alarm icon will change to an active icon ().

   

6. Tap the drop-down menu next to Motion sensitivity to select a motion sensitivity level.

   

   REMINDER: If Motion Sensitivity is set to 1, motion detection will be triggered if a moving object is larger than 1% of the video area. If it is set to 10, a moving object must be larger than 10% of the video area to trigger motion detection. Motion Sensitivity does not affect the PIR motion detector.

7. Tap Update to save your settings.
