Lorex Connect App - Events
Discover how to use the Events tab in the Lorex Connect App to review, filter, and manage motion detection events captured by your security cameras.

Getting Started
- Download the Lorex Connect app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Pair your device with the app by tapping the icon, tapping Scan QR Code or Online Devices and following the in app instructions.
- Tap the Events tab in the bottom center.
Alert Tab
The Alert tab is the default screen in the Events tab, showing a list of today’s motion detection events.
Each event includes:
- Thumbnail: A preview of the recorded footage.
- Event Type: Detection type, like Motion or Person and Vehicle.
- System Name: Identifies the system or camera.
- Event Time: Displays when the event occurred.

System Tab
The System tab records when a device is shared or revoked.
Filter Events
The Filter button in the top-right corner helps you quickly sort through events by time, device, and event type.
- Select Time: Choose a specific day to narrow your search to recordings from that date.
- Select Device(s): Pick one or more connected devices to focus your search on specific cameras or systems.
- Filter by Type: Select event types, such as Person and Vehicle, Motion, Person, Vehicle, Storage Full, Storage Error, or Storage Unformatted.
- Select All: Tap this option to select all available choices across all lists.
After selecting your filters, press Done to confirm and view the filtered recordings.
More Options
- Tap the More Options button.
- Tap Mark all as read to remove the red notification dot from all recordings.
- Tap Delete all to remove all recordings from the events tab.
- Tap Edit to edit to delete or mark certain recordings as read.
- Press Done to confirm.
